Relaxation

Did you know that relaxation has many health benefits besides "getting away"? Relaxation is mandatory for a healthy life, it is one of the most important steps to wellness. The art of relaxation has many health benefits, some of them include: Lower blood pressure, improved sleep patterns, relief from depression and anxiety, reduction in the risk of Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke, increase in memory, and much more!

Every person is unique and therefore has different relaxation needs. Once you learn techniques for relaxation, you will soon find the best technique for you as an individual. When you are able to relax your body and your mind you can expect some of these benefits : Increase in energy, increase in levels of concentration, increase in immunity and immune system function, better sleep patterns, better reactions/more controllable reactions to stress, better metabolism function, and more.

Here are some ways you can relax: Practice slow deep breathing, take a day just for yourself, exercise, journal your thoughts, get organized, create a ritual for bedtime, meditate, practice visualization, focus on today, and find a method that works best for you.

Learning the art of relaxation can take some time, do not get discouraged and keep trying!
